Scot Cunningham’s Banking career comprises 25 years of banking experience, including credit, business development and management, both in SBA lending and commercial/multifamily lending. Currently, he works as National Sales Manager for the Income Property Lending division of BofI Federal Bank, a $2.0 billion publicly traded Bank. Previously, he held the position of Senior VP in the Corporate Banking Division of Mechanic’s Bank, a $2.8 billion private commercial Bank located in Walnut Creek, CA, where he managed the Real Estate Lending Group, and the SBA Lending department. Prior to Mechanic’s Bank, he was the Western Regional Manager for Imperial Capital Bank, a NASDAQ publicly traded company where, under his leadership, the bank funded over $250 million in commercial and multifamily loans, both in construction and permanent loans.
Mr. Cunningham was a SBA lender with Bank of the West, where he was consistently a top 5 national producer. Additionally, he has worked as Senior Credit Underwriter for The Money Store and held positions at other institutions including; The Associates, Glendale Federal, and Ready Mortgage Company.
Mr. Cunningham received his B.S. degree in Business from the University of the Pacific and his MBA in Finance from Golden Gate University. He was recently awarded the CMB Certified Mortgage Banker designation from the Mortgage Bankers Association and is also active in Bay Area Mortgage Association (BAMA) and the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (NAGGL).
He enjoys tennis, golf, skiing and life with his wife and 3 daughters. He also plays a little guitar.
